How to get CV through the door as a non-target (REPE)

Currently a rising senior at a hotel management school in Switzerland, finding myself at a bit of a crossroads. I'm doing pretty well with academics & ECs (top 5 in class, student body rep. multiple clubs, etc.) and I managed to leverage that into a solid 6-month internship on the deal team at big hotel REPE shop.

The goal is to get some experience at a generalist shop (think Brookfield/Starwood/BX (i wish)) before moving back into hotels. I know my degree sucks, but is there any path to becoming an analyst at one of the above/any big name generalist REPE shop? Is the internship experience enough to get my CV through the door?

(For context, a VP from my internship was an ASO at one of the REPE shops above and recommended I apply to a few)

thanks in advance!
