How to reach out to MD?
A couple Saturdays ago, my school's homecoming football game was playing. At the bar the night before, I was shitfaced and talked with "people in finance" (as they told me and my friends in line) and later got one guy's number for a discussion he said we'd have the next Monday.Well, real shocker, I never got a response. But, I had his number and full name. I did some researching on LinkedIn and found out that he is a MD at a MM bank. (Found an email address too)Now don't get me wrong, I understand the scummy-ness of pulling the whole 'friends with a MD' gig, but I'd like to think this was a little more organic. There are open positions at the firm and I'd like to inquire. Is this a bad idea?
nothing scummy about connecting with an MD you met and networking with them. I'd refer to a lot of the posts that are on WSO about drafting a good introduction email to send to them
