How to reach out to people I have networked with to let them know I have applied for the internship and would appreciate their help internally?

Just wanted to know how should I word it in a better way as I don't want to make a mistake in the final stage.

I don’t think you need to explicitly ask them for help. If you reach out and tell them you applied and you’ve had a good conversation with them in the past, it’s been my experience that they’ll keep your name in mind. If you’re worried about it, maybe try and schedule another call and you could bring up the fact that you applied during the call. I’ve done this and gotten plenty of “Great, I’ll pass your name along to make sure you get a first round,” or something along those lines.

Long story short: If you’ve had a good conversation with them in the past, I think you should be alright.
