HR Still Waiting for Hiring Manager Feedback After a Week. Should I Move On?
Had a final interview with the head manager and thought the overall vibe was pretty positive. She spent some time emphasizing that she was looking for someone with a genuine long term interest in the space, but as we went through the role, she also mentioned that my background seemed to align well with what they were looking for.
At the end, she said she would submit her feedback right away and that HR would follow up with me about next steps, including location and compensation.
I didn’t send a thank you email afterward because I couldn’t find her email anywhere. She’s also an alum from my school, which made the conversation feel a bit more natural.
A week later, I followed up with HR, and HR said they were still waiting for her feedback.
Does this sound like they may have moved on with other candidates, or could the hiring manager just be busy? The interview itself felt positive, so I’m a little confused by the delay.
