I Need Advice WSO

Hello WSO,

I'm currently a junior at Florida State University. My GPA is a 3.1, and I have a year of classes ahead of me to bring it up. I unfortunately experienced a family death, which caused me to bomb a semester (2 c's). My dream job is to make it into corporate finance. Right now my prospects is average, which is something I want to change ASAP. I know if I get all A's for the rest of my time in college I could hopefully pull off a 3.5. I'm going to work as hard as I possibly can at school. So just to give you all a view from 10,000 feet, I have an average GPA, no leadership positions, and little to none work experience. Note that I'm not asking you to wipe my ass, I would just love to have some honest criticism from people who know what they're talking about. So here's my question:

If you were in my position, what would be your course of action to maximize your prospects after graduation?

Thanks in advance.
