I was wondering how to spend my time more fruitfully during the lockdown. Any suggestions on courses to take etc?

Any suggestions about what I can do during the pandemic? I was planning to prepare for the CFA level 1 as my masters is delayed indefinitely.

I was supposed to go to HEC lausanne in September but unfortunately the embassy will not be processing visa applications till July.

With the CFA, I feel that I wont get anything tangible if I fail the exam and appear for it in December. I am working from home from 10 am to 5 pm.

What do you think about courses on Coursera, learning new skills like programming, design? I have taken a couple of R and Eviews courses in college and know the basics - stimulations, regressions, graphics etc but it's been 3 years.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I have interned in analytics in the past at a fortune 50 and have worked with top luxury firms in strategy, however I would like to switch. Not investment banking but any job which would require skills in finance and analytics at a firm like LVMH, Richemont, P&G, swatch group, nestle, Unilever etc. I also like research so if I get top grades in my masters I will apply for a PhD.

Hence, I had chosen a master's in management (business analytics) at hec Lausanne which is a great preparation for a phd and is 2 years long unlike my other offers which are only one year long and are geared towards the industry like SMU finance, UCD finance, Rotterdam, SDA Bocconi corporate finance, ASU, Cass, Durham, warwick.

I already have an undergraduate degree in Finance from one of the aforementioned schools.

Thank you for your time.
