IB Network Consistently Recommending S&T

Networking for IB summer internship roles in Australia, currently in the equivalent of a junior year of a double degree.

In almost every coffee chat I’ve had so far with analysts/associates, I’ve been told I should throw my hat in the IB candidate ring while also being asked if I’ve ever considered a role in S&T. This is both with bankers I have pre-existing relationships with, and cold connections via linkedin.

Is this an indication that I’m getting dinged during coffee chats? My mental arithmetic skills are fine, but definitely not outstanding. Feedback generally mentions my interpersonal skills are above par, but that could just be lip service.

Thoughts?
