IB online applications / No career center
Hello,
I'm checking out applications for IB and it often says "How to apply? Please visit our website to apply and also your school’s career center." or " you must also apply through your respective university career services site to be considered.".
Does it mean that if they are not in your school's career center you wont be considered? Do IBs even consider you if you are not from a top school? (for divisions like operations, capital markets, corp infrastructure).
Thanks for your help
I'm not saying this to be a dick but you're massively behind the curve here man. Most places are on final rounds, if not done at this point for full time positions.
These is nothing if not a wealth of information on this site about how to 'break in' without the benefit of a career services office or a brand name on your resume. Long story short, you're going to have to network your balls off starting 5 minutes ago and utilize every possible connection and string you can pull to get anywhere at this point. Shit sucks man but good luck.
he could be applying for next year and researching early :P lol
Fair point, if this is the case, ignore me
I'm talking about Full time Analyst programs for next year. Applications are now. It opened around September/October and closing by the end of the month or mid november. So i'm still on time right? or wrong ?
thx again
This is one of those, "if you're on time, you're late" kinda things. Bust ass and refer to my previous post.
you speak with riddles, what do u mean by if u are on time u are late ? Anyhow, you think you can help me answer the original question ? :)
Yea, sure thing, you actually just made it a lot easier to answer your original question...move on.
no, you missed the boat my man. good luck with life. lol.
You guys have issues lol.... New Yorker why did I miss the boat?
Happypantsmcgee you failed too lol
Listen dude, it's pretty fucking simple. Yes, the deadline may say November whatever. The simple fact is recruiting has been going on for months. I will try to speak plainly in order to allow you to understand what I am saying. Hang on to that deadline all you want but you have to get your ass in gear and start calling/emailing/whatever if you want to find anything.
You have missed the boat because all the people around you that wanted the same positions you did were paying attention when it was time to start doing the things they needed to do to get them. That and because you appear to be an insufferable moron.
pretty much this. try next year, and hold your app until the last minute, recruiters will respect you for being on time and not too eager, like courting a girl, don't want to come on too strong.
you guys are funny Happypantsmcgee thx for the explanation (although the last 2 words were unnecessary). But thats not my question anyway. you are totally off topic Are you sure you read it ?
Does it mean that if they are not in your school's career center you wont be considered?
Technically, no but, without a contact at the company (that you would get through networking) yes.
Do IBs even consider you if you are not from a top school? (for divisions like operations, capital markets, corp infrastructure.)
Yes, with networking or a stellar resume.
