IFC Investment Analyst VS Baird 3rd Yr Analyst
Hi, I have 2+ year experience from a 2nd tier BB and have just left the firm. I have got offers from both IFC (PE arm of World Bank) and RW Baird IBD. I hope to go to top notch MBA after another 1~2 year work. Utimately, I would like to move to top tier PE (preferred) or top tier BB (IBD or principal investment). Which one fits more? in terms of b-school? in terms of utimate career goal?
wouldn't u get better work experience doing PE?
IFC seems like a way better choice, particularly since you will have PE experience and a better story for B-school.
PA, Agree. thanks GoodBread. that is why I applied IFC / World Bank. But, after all, IFC is not typical PE. I am not sure if ppl on the street would value the experience there
Always wondered what the comp is like at IFC?
50-55 hour work weeks, $85k salary, and wait for it....... $0.00 bonus.
Ouch, also guessing a 3 year vesting on the pension plan which sucks.
