Lol. I only laugh because same story here in regards to the GPA and DUI. DUI in 2010 (age 21....of course). But odd that it affects your credit in Canada...

Anywho, don't sweat it. Offer your uncle as a recommendation. I got my IB and Asset Management jobs because I had skill and interest in an area not known for high finance. Take the extra step to show that you're willing, able, etc.
