i'm a rising junior at yale whose never done investment banking, how do i lock down a job after i graduate?

right now i'm a sociology major but i want a thicc ass investment banking job. i don't know how to get one for myself though. how do i find and get a job after i graduate when i have no experience at all except a good university?

You’re definitely not too late in the process. But just because you go to Yale doesn’t guarantee an IB job. You need to start learning the technical guides and reaching out to alumni to network. Yale will help you to a certain extent just not all the way.

 

Your best bet would be to try to get as many off cycle virtual internships (most likely unpaid) next semester, join as many finance clubs as possible, and just grind out recruiting and try to aim get a FT spot. A junior summer internship in IB is highly unlikely but you could probably get a PWM internship at a local spot if you grind asap.
