Inquiring About Post-Superday Status?

Surprising amount of conflicting information regarding this topic — I had my first superday last Friday and so am a little unfamiliar with the notification process and whether or not I'll even get a rejection email. They said that we would hear back very soon, but given that it's been about 5 days, I'm starting to get concerned.

Would shooting an email to HR or to networking contacts inquiring about closure be a little annoying? I assume they've made decisions already and really just want to be able to move on.

I'd really appreciate if someone could shed light on this!
