Looking at interning next summer and there are a million different websites for intern housing but aren't very helpful. Does anyone have experience interning in NY, SF or Toronto that can share advice for housing and tips about how to reduce costs?Any insight is appreciated.

Hop on padmapper, kijiji and FB marketplace. There’s also FB groups you can join for housing and they post a lot of sublets for the summer. There’s plenty of rentals, just inquire about a 4 month sublet. Many students leave their current housing to return home for summer, leaves lots of 4 month opportunities open to young hustlers for summer internships.
I believe U of T rents out their residences during the summer. I’d also check for sublets from students
