Internal mobility for entry level analyst programs at BBs
So, I’m a first year analyst at a BB and have been in my role for 7ish months and thought about applying for 2024 Analyst Programs at my BB.
However, my graduation date does not match the required graduation timeline for those 2024 Analyst Programs. My manager seems to be receptive to internal mobility when I brought it up but not sure whether I would be considered for those analyst opportunities when my grad date doesn’t match.
Thoughts on this?
Thanks!
So as a grad at your bank, you want to apply for the grad scheme... again? And restart your career timer? Why?
I think there will be other channels to go through now that you are FT. There must be an internal jobs hub or just talking to management in the division you're interested in.
Would be applying for a different department / function within the bank. However, not sure if they would let me given that I obviously don’t meet the graduation date requirements listed in the job description.
Thoughts on this?
I of course understand you'd be applying to a different department. That doesn't negate the other avenues I mentioned.
Yes there typically also open analyst positions in the event that someone leaves; however, not seeing any of those opportunities at my bank right now, so I have to look at on cycle hiring essentially as it’s the only path into the department I’m considering
