Internship in Fintech company for IB?

Hi, I am an undergraduate student and I wanted to know if a summer internship in a Fintech firm is a good idea if I want to work in M&A or ECM in large financial institutions? It would be a research analyst position in a company providing daily investment market forecasts for stocks, commodities, interest rates, currencies... I didn't manage to find an internship in the finance department of a relatively large company or in a small boutique since I have little experience. Do you think it would be a hindrance to getting a summer internship in a BB? PS: I have already done a spring internship in a BB.
