internship offer background check

does anyone know if big companies (top 10 in US) check if you got an offer from your internship company? I also know that this company doesn't use third party company to check background, it will be done by internal HR team. I didn't do a good job in my internship company and didn't get an offer. I'm so concerned that this will be discovered during background check.

telling the truth? I didn't lie about anything. my question was if they will check whether I got an offer from my internship.

You're fine.

If this new company thinks you're good enough to hire, they won't care whether or not you got an offer from your last internship. The one catch would be if you told them that you were offered when you actually weren't. That would get your current offer revoked and you'd be blacklisted at that firm and probably others.

If you were honest or never asked, then you have nothing to worry about.

Highly unlikely that they will call to ask if you received an offer, however a very good chance they will call to 1) verify your employment/position and 2) verify your references.

If you're willing to step into an ethical gray area, you could possibly find a friend or relative in HR, send them a resume for a job their company has posted and have them contact your former employer. Have them ask the question(s) you are concerned this new employer will ask and see what they will and will not disclose.
