Internships in NYC and Singapore from the UK

Hi guys,

hope you're all well during this time. In September I'll be starting an undergraduate degree in Economics at a target school in the UK, one thing I'd like to try and do is to complete IB internships abroad in NYC or Singapore instead of just in London where the vast majority of British undergraduates do theirs.

I was hoping the WSO community could impart some advice an insight into how the process works for someone looking to go overseas and if anyone has any tips about relocating short term

Thanks in advance

My only tip is to go for it. Use the University you will start attending's help in this. Get into discussions with their careers team (which I'm sure they will have), and start looking into it further. Sorry I'm not too much help, but the main take away is use the resources at uni, do research, and don't be afraid to go for it! You'll do great.

Great thanks!

My concern is that getting the internships might not even be the biggest problem but visas and accommodation might be the most problematic aspects of going abroad
