Interviewing from your car?
Current boss wants me at my desk at all times. His office is right behind mine and watches my like a hawk (part of the reason I wanna leave). Won’t let me take a day to WFH so interviewing at home is a no go. There aren’t any places like a coffee shop for me to interview nearby work. Is it okay to take interviews from my car?
Places I have take calls for interviews:
- car (countless times)
- fire escapes (the office hallways nobody uses, only in emergencies)
- basements and maintenance areas
- rented offices, co-working spaces (WeWork, Regus, ..)
- friend's apartments nearby
- unknown/hidden meeting rooms at your own office, on a different floor. where people don't know you
You make it work. That's the mission in life.
With teams you can alter your background digitally or blur it.
