Investment Banking Securitization Products Interview?
Hi guys,
I have an interview next week at a BB for a first year analyst position in a securitized product origination group. I don't know much at all about the subject, what sorts of products to these groups even securitize? Is it receivables and debt, or physical assets? Does anybody know any good resources or books I should read to prepare?
Thanks!!
JP Morgan interview
Actually its Barcap
Fabozzi has some good books. Depends on what type of products this is for. ABS encompasses a lot of stuff. Could be mortgages (agency or non agency), could be receivables, could be a ton of shit. If it is a really general interview then understand the concept of packaging and creating these securities, stuff like that. Do you have any more info to go off of?
Its ABS for credit cards, student loans and auto loans. Its for an analyst position so i'm still trying to get a read on whether the interview will be more general or group-specific
Oh cool, very interesting stuff. Check out fabozzi, he does a book on ABS, really breaks down the differences in each type and what to look for.
Sounds good, thanks man
