is a career in finance that bad?
hey guys, over the past few months I always saw junior investment bankers leaving after burning out after a short period on the job, also some employees are turning down extra bonuses and are preferring to leave, and the thing that also caught my attention is the amount of people specially in IB who don’t want to return to the office and prefer WFH. Now i never really considered IB as a career but i would love to join the financial industry after college so are things in general that bad? for example are the other divisions within the bank that brutal (Asset management, corp/ commercial banking, capital markets, sales and trading etc..) can anyone shed a light on this matter btw i don’t mind making less money or having less exit ops
