is anyone familiar with the 2-hour job search method?

Is anyone familiar with the 2-hour job search method?  I understand it's mandatory training for Duke MBA students. Perhaps some of you guys went to Duke?

My own MBA career center has weak resources for alumni, so instead they put me on to this methodology for informational interviewing. I hate informational interviewing. It's fake, it's stilted, it's BS. And it's necessary. I find myself for months having zero desire to go talk to people in a job-hunt / informational interview way.  Does anyone have any ideas how to actually do InfoInts so that they aren't personal torture?

Yes been working 15 years post MBA.  I am not good at networking when it comes to job hunting. I am awkward and don’t reach out. For the past year I have been on the beach doing consulting work but I want to get back inside a platform. This means finding my next role, likely by reaching out to alumni and industry peers.  I don’t feel at all comfortable doing that. I am hoping for advice.
