Is it awkward after giving your two weeks notice?

I might be running into this scenario at some point soon. I like my group and they have been pretty cool to me. However, I feel like the two weeks after giving my notice could be weird in the office. Anyone have any experience in this?

I just gave my group 1 month's notice yesterday since they have treated me well and I wanted to give them ample time to find my replacement. They all took it well, even the executive level guys (going onto much bigger and better things). It doesn't seem like they will fire me and will just let me ride out my time.

But I expect that I will not be working on anything of significant importance in the next month. I've just kind of been coasting anyway, and I think they know that.

BUT this is one of those very group-specific things. My team was really laid back all year so I knew it wouldn't be a problem.
