At some banks, there are a couple of alums from my school, but none of them are in M&A / coverage; they're all in DCM/ECM or S&T. If I'm gunning for summer analyst roles in investment banking, is there any way I could network with them to boost my application even though they aren't in the right group? For reference, some are directors or MDs. How could I go about doing this?
