Is It Possible To Transfer To More Front Office Role At BB After Back/Middle Office Analyst Program?

I was pretty late with my internship search (100% my own fault) and missed a lot of application deadlines at banks but was lucky to apply in time for a few BB. I come from a college narrowly outside of the T50 so I would not consider it a target school for the BB and applied for Fund Services at Morgan Stanley which I thought would be working under the funds that the company has in a more investing related role but found out that it is more so supporting the funds that the fund works for which is a middle/bottom office role I believe. I have a very strong passion for investing and am looking to eventually get into a field like trading/research/asset management long-term. After this semester my GPA wont be the best (likely sub 3.2) which will likely be an instant reject for any programs at the banks if I were to apply for a senior year internship. I just wanted to ask how easy is it to transfer into different divisions following the analyst program assuming I have exceptional performance. When talking to a manager in the division she told me that the longer you work in a middle/back office role the harder it is to move into a front-office role but said joining Morgan Stanley can be a stepping stone to working at one of these types of fields in the future. Just wanted to see what input you guys had on this.
