Is it stupid to apply to a BB when I already signed with a smaller MM?

As the title suggests, I am currently signed with an MM bank and expected to start working there this summer. That said, I saw a posting on LinkedIn for an analyst position at a BB in a group that I'm very interested in joining. Would it be totally stupid to apply for this position? I.e., could it really backfire?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Got it, that is a very good point. Thanks for the insight. Do you think waiting to apply is worth the risk that the position will probably be filled by the time I start? The posting is ambiguous about the start state, but it says "Generally began program in summer of 2022." Not exactly sure what that means, but it seems consistent with 1st years quitting after their bonus.
