Is it too late to save my career?

Background, I went to a small business college in Mass (omitting name in case someone can track this) where everyone does Finance. During the recruiting season sophomore year I was a chicken with my head cut off and no proper guidance as I was unaware of how early these timelines get. I did not get any banking internships, but I did secure last summer an internship at BlackRock on their US Wealth Advisory desk and got a FT return offer that I accepted.

At the time I really didn't know what was entailed in the role. It has something to do with finance and markets because you are talking to clients, but it really feels like a sales role with a little bit of finance information overlayed. Currently I am about 2 weeks into the role and I'm getting very scared. It seems like the progression is very vertical and I don't want to do this my whole life.

But... the catch is then as time goes on I have less and less experience compared to my peers and I don't want to be pigeon held so early in my career. I really don't know what to do since both of my parents are not from industry and they say "keep your head down and work hard" which seems really outdated.

I'm just looking for any advice, should I look for new jobs now before it is too late? Or is it already too late and I need to go back to school for a shot at a IB, S&T, Equity Research?

MSF would be the cleanest path but I've seen people make the switch from the private banking to IB. Although they were internal transfers so maybe aim for something like PCA, fund finance, securitizations, MM/LMM IB if u don't want to go back to school
