Is it weird to reach out to alumni of your PE firm's associate program?
I'm starting a 2-year associate program soon with very low VP conversion . I want to reach out to an alum of my future firm who went to business school then joined a similar sized firm with a different strategy and did some other interesting stuff in between. Is this frowned upon / is there any reason not to? I think it would be good conversation. I want to hear his tips on business school recruiting and post-MBA recruiting (assuming I don't get a return offer).
Thanks.
