I recruited for a small IB boutique shop last year, I want to get into ER to go into an HF long term. Would all the networking with other bankers be useless to reach back out to. I want to re-recruit up to either a larger IB shop or ER, but ER sounds more valuable/enjoyable to me long term if the HF didn't work out. Any thoughts on networking for those full time ER roles without burning too many bridges?
