Is saying that I want to be an investment banker because...

If I told an interviewer that I want to become an investment banker so that I can one day have enough capital to start a non-profit/charity a good reason, or would that be a bad idea? Btw, that is the actual reason why I want to do it, so I'm not just making something up. I'm just wondering if that would be an acceptable answer in the interview

don't. particularly because there's the money aspect. there are plenty of good answers and you should use some of them. but i hope you know that you probably won't save up that much unless you're in it for a few years
