Is there anything I can do?
I applied for a Business Operations internship and accepted it for my freshman summer. I wish I applied for the Structured Finance internship instead. (I applied to the Business Operations internship because my referrer at the company is in that department.) The Structured Finance internship would be so much more of an interest for me and be much more relevant on my resume for IB recruiting. I am feeling lots of regret and thought about emailing HR to see if I could switch but my referrer at the company is advising against it. Is there anything I can do? Can I switch to the Structured Finance internship program?
