Is there grade/internship lenience for atheltes?

For context. I currently do rowing in the Netherlands (at a decently high level 9-11 trainings a week, the equivalent of a top D1 school in the USA). I have noticed that my grades are not exactly perfect, I was hoping to graduate cum laude (approx 3.7 converted to USA GPA) but that doesn't seem possible, now I hope to graduate with a 3.4-3.5. I have also noticed that rowing takes up a lot of my summer, so it is even more complicated for internships. Is there lenience or should I prioritize grades + internships? I am especially interested in staying in Europe, potentially the UK.
