Is this appropriate to ask a newly promoted PM at a multi-manager?

I am interviewing for a recently promoted multi-manager PM and I wanted to prep some questions ahead of time. Is it appropriate to ask him about how much capital he has and about applicable risk limits, his prior time as an analyst, what he would recommend anyone taking this job?

I wanted to be careful to not offend him, but also wanted to be really understand the opportunity with the PM. Appreciate any advice.
