Is this lying?

So this summer I technically worked for an operating business or subsidiary of a larger company but the transaction I worked on affected the entire company. Is ok that I put the name of the larger company on my resume because it's more identifiable than the smaller operating unit that I worked for? I included both names on the company line for the resume.

For sure its ok...in background checks, grey areas like these will get passed in your favor. When you blatantly lie (You actually worked for McDonalds but said you work for Goldman Sachs) such situations will get you into trouble.
