So i recently had an informational interview with an alumni and he has an assistant vice president role. The conversation was alright but it was my first time so there were awkward silence moments. I recently stumbled upon another person in the group but he is a managing director and he covers the group that i would like to work in which is Bank loans and leveraged loans. Is it Ok to contact this person? I'm pretty sure they work in the same group.

So talk to the VP and ask him if he can refer you to anyone else to speak to, and try to specifically note the group you're interested in. You'll ultimately end up speaking to that MD.
Well i e-mailed him yesterday and he hasn't responded back. I was wondering if its ok to directly e-mail the Managing director.
