Ok so I wanted to go into IB initially, but this recruiting cycle has been absolutely brutal to say the least. I have a shot at WM at a top BB GS/JPM/MS. I still want to do IB later on hopefully by lateraling or re-recruiting FT. Is it possible to recruit FT with a WM internship at a top BB or possibly lateraling to FT IB from FT WM? Any insight is appreciated.

Not an easy move necessarily, would likely be easier to take a MM/LMM solid boutique offer and lateral up market after a year imo.
That said I don't know anyone who has done WM jr summer -> IB FT so I don't think i can provide that insight
