Job transition help

Hi - I am currently working as a 2nd year analyst at a BB in a prime brokerage financing role (equity repo). At my bb, you interview for associate promotion within S&T at the end of your second year. I have enjoyed working on structured repo trades, and submitted a resume to the associate S&T program and a structured products (abs) group. I have received an offer to join as an associate for structured products, but will not hear from the S&T associate program for several months. If I do not get accepted to the S&T associate program, I will stay on my current PB desk.

Should I accept the structured products role? End goal is to work at HF. I have enjoyed structuring, but would prefer to structure more complex FI or equity products and worry ab exit opps for abs these days.
