Job transition into the Big 4.

Hello everyone,

I am just wanting to know some more information about how to transition into the big 4 especially audit. My current situation is i am 33 years old and i graduated with a bachelors in General Management from Michigan State University. I currently live in California and i wanted to sit for the CPA exam. I plan on reaching the 150 credit requirement by taking a certificate in accounting from UC Berkeley extension. i was wondering if it is possible to transition into the big 4 without a masters and by doing this certificate? Would a masters be a better option or is it more important to reach the 150 credit requirement to sit for the cpa exam? Any information is greatly appreciated.
