JP MORGAN LONDON -Interview Follow Up
Hi All,
I have a question regarding my interview with JP Morgan in London and I don't really know what to think....Your input would be most welcome... So I am a 1st year Analyst at another tier1 bank and don't really like my job at all plus given my desk's structure I basically have no future there and my only way up will be out.... so I decided to start looking and I interviewed for my DREAM job at JP Morgan in London at the end of March. Throughout the process HR has been very helpful always keeping me in touch and all.... But the process has been delayed, they didn't say I did not get the job yet but they told me they were going through headcount at the moment and were hoping to get back to me in a few weeks (that was ike 4 weeks ago). They honestly were really gracious about it, telling me to fell free to email if I felt nervous etc.
I chased last week and have not heard anything. Should I just give up? Is it usual from JP to just ignore candidates instead of telling them they did not get through (I would not think so). Should I contact the boss I met with directly?
I'm a bit confused and a nervous wreck. I know I should not complain since I already have a job so I could be in worse shoes but this means so much to me.
Thank you
Don't worry, its HR and its at every company the same... just give them a call.
Good luck!
If JPM has been good about with keeping in touch until now because of checking headcount - chances are, they're waiting for feedback from the actual group for next steps. I would just give them a call and follow up - and get the scoop. If they are waiting for details, then the general thing to do is follow up periodically, so that they know you're still interested and won't forget about you.
Hi...ok thanks for your comments and thoughts...I havent thought of calling because im always afraid I'll call at a bad time (i work in front office, old habits die hard!) and now I feel uncomfortable because Id follow-up an answered email with a call.but I will try and be brave and do that!
