J.P. Morgan vs BlackRock Offer
Sticky situation.
I have a summer internship position at both J.P. Morgan Credit Risk (£65k) and BlackRock fundamental equities team (£55). BlackRock is a certain 9-5 Mon-Fri but JPM is a 9 to 7-11pm from what I’ve seen in credit risk.
Is there an obvious answer as to which one I should go for? BlackRock seems better hourly pay but JPM better exit options?
Please give me advice!!
Depends on what your end goal is?
Just an interesting job and a very high salary.
100% depends on your goal. It's like asking if you should eat a potato or rice for dinner lol.
If you have no idea whatsoever, take JPM Credit Risk. Great learnings, one of the best spots if you are interested in credit risk, and you have plenty of options afterwards.
Why would you recommend a risk seat over an investing seat?
I’m confused?
What I want is a hard question when you’re just graduating. Of course I want good exit options and a high salary and to leave the office at the latest 8/9pm.
Blackrock sounds like a better role to me? Isn't credit risk back/middle office whereas fundamental equities is front office.
JP Morgan Credit Risk is FO very good exit oops from what I have heard but generally long working hours as a junior
take the investing role, infinitely more options and both roles offer prestige
what “prestige” is there in a mo bb job lmao
