Just Missed an OCR Deadline
I just realized today that three positions I was highly interested in had an OCR deadline yesterday. They were only up for about two weeks, and there had been some issues with my log in info so I somehow screwed up the dates. Im an idiot I know. Any way, now that it's done whats the move/am I screwed?
So far, I emailed my career services office to see if I could still throw my resume in and I'm going to try and get the recruiter's info. I should mention these are all for Corp/Commercial Banking roles not IB
I remember when I was in college, career services was able to throw my resume the day after as a result of having technical difficulties.
targets who missed on-campus recruiting (Originally Posted: 06/03/2007)
This is a question for my friend:
do any of you have advice for people who are about to / did graduate from a target, but missed out on IB recruiting?
let's assume their GPAs/majors are competitive, and they have finance/consulting experience--just not in IB. i.e. my friend thought he wanted to do an econ masters program, but then changed his mind.
thanks in advance for helpful responses.

do econ masers program? try to get full time offer in fall....?
i almost forgot, he should call up alums as a last resort a guy i know emailed a bunch of us saying they had a last minute opening in his group.
Wait until fall, apply with the seniors, but offer to start working in January/February. Then enjoy a few months off. Know a few people who did this.
Applying online directly after missing OCR? (Originally Posted: 02/15/2013)
I didn't really start considering IB until last week, and missed the OCR deadline in mid-January. However, when I look at the companies' websites, many of them are still accepting direct online applications and their deadlines aren't due.
Am I unlikely to get interviews if I apply directly on their websites? Btw, I go to a HYP target, with a 3.7 GPA, no work experience.
...
HYP, 3.7 GPA? Why would they say no?
I don't want to sound completely unsympathetic.. but I'm sort of at a loss.
Practically, sure go for it, you've nothing to lose. But like are you sure you even comprehend what you're getting yourself into?
