Language as a barrier to entry

I am an incoming summer analyst at BB in the London office. I am European but not from the UK so English is not my first language (think Italy, France, Spain, Germany...). I have passed all the interviews in English to get the offer in a top BB, however, I am not confident with my English level.

I would like to know what tips you would give before starting the internship in June to maximize the chance of getting a return offer.

If anything, you will be at an advantage, especially at a BB. A high proportion of bankers and interns at BB’s are European. Choose a EMEA coverage team (especially TMT or Industrials) and you will be perfectly fine!
