what are the best questions to ask interviewers during experienced associate PE interviews? imagine it could range from asking about the fund strategy to career development potential for associates...but want to hear what folks who have been successful in PE associates lateralling recruiting have asked...thanks all

thanks man, appreciated. another broader question for yourself and others if you can, what do you think drives decision making on who makes the cut for lateral interviews. have gone through a couple processes now where everything seems to go smoothly, I talk to the whole team, and then boom I get the following feedback "thanks for your interest, the team appreciated your background and experience but has decided to move in a different direction". starting to become somewhat frustrating since I usually make it through the early rounds.....
