London Incoming SA 2021 Thread
Hi guys so I wanted to start a thread where the incoming SA in London can compile information to benefit everyone.
Has anyone heard anything about the internship being virtual or not? If so, please share which firm and what their decision has been (shortened or not, full pay or not etc.).
Also, does any international incoming SAs know if the firms will still sponsor work visas if the internship is virtual? Ideally, I'd still want to travel to London and live there even if everything is done virtually.
Please feel free to share any other information that is relevant to incoming summer analysts in London.

GS is expected full length full pay and in-person (I don't believe them about the latter)
Does anyone know when we can expect to hear from our banks for the first time since signing the offer (for background checks etc.)? Specifically asking for Barclays.
According to BOFA´s last email it seems the internships are gonna be remote

Deloitte confirmed virtual and shortened to three weeks. Don't see why firms have to shorten it if it is gonna be virtual.
they don't have real work to give to you so you just work on your intern project which in their interest should be as short as possible
If virtual, where will you guys live for the summer? I'm thinking of renting a place in a random city for much cheaper than London
