London MM IB opportunities
Hi, I am currently based in a small EU country working at MM shop with head office located in US (Oaklins). We get decent deal flow and I have good experience working on MM deals (150 - 200 mil.) mostly in TMT. Recently I’ve been looking to make a move to London for better comp. and I am just wondering what are my chances? I am looking for a job at a boutique or MM shop. Is such move even possible given the lack of experience in UK market? (visa is not an issue and will not need any sponsorship). Appreciate the help.
FYI the TMT boutiques I know in London would be Torch Partners, Arma Partners, GP Bullhound, you could look at their websites to see if they're recruiting

Would depend on how many years full-time experience you have and what you worked on. Considering the current tech market my guess would also be that they aren’t necessarily looking to fill many seats at the moment.
Arma might be difficult considering their requirements.
However if your into MM TMT banking in London there are other lesser known shops which might also be of interest to you, e.g Royal Park Partners, TAP Advisors (mostly telco deals) + other small shops around Mayfair which I can pm you the names of if interested
I definitely think it is possible, I've seen it happen at the Analyst level but I'm not sure about higher
