So I've been working as a middle market IB summer associate and have definitely learned a ton after my first year of my MBA program. It has made me realize that I'm more interested in doing equity research for a life, skill set, general interest, and long term converting to buy side. Any suggestions on getting an off cycle internship to actually do research for a reputable company? I'm also not sure how re-recruiting would go talking to previous banks since all my contacts at each place were all IB.
