Low GPA, post Covid: What can I do to improve my chances to get a good job to start my career

Hi everyone,

I am writing my first post after being a WSO reader for a long time as I hope to receive some advice from you to improve my chances of finding a job in the financial sector.

After finishing my bachelor's degree as a part-time student with a GPA of 3.3 in Economics I decided to to do a master in management. My master GPA is just 3.0.

I started thinking about how to improve my CV with some online course to improve skills like Excel.I started applying for internships  just a week before the outbreak of the coronavirus in Europe, and obviously the responses have not been positive but I'm trying to keep in touch with HRs and it seems that some positions to which I was interested in are reopening.

A career start in IB looks quite unlikely so I just started looking at jobs other finance-related positions in big companies in order to use the first year as an opportunity to gain some experience and then leverage that to get into IB.

Where can I focus my efforts? What are the steps I can take to improve my chances of starting my career in a good way?

Thank you for any advice you may want to share.
