MA student wants to break into IB. Too late to apply?
My BA is in Econ, from a small liberal arts school. I am finishing my MA in Policy + Management from a top 5 school this summer(August). I was wondering if it's too late to apply for investment banking. Also, I have no previous internships in IBs. But my academic coursework in BA and MA is relevant. Do I have a chance in breaking in IB as an analyst? Please advise.
Your academic coursework in economics and policy is relevant? Make sure you know precisely what ibd entails, because that might be a stretch to say.
FT recruiting is done for the most part, you're looking at off cycle stuff which is sporadic even in good times... your best bet is smaller shops or using your personal network.
