Marketing
How hard is it to land a marketing job within finance? What kind of pay can one get in this industry (both short-term and long-term)? What are the hours and lifestyle like?
If anyone on here works in finance marketing, would you please let me know. I'd love to PM you and ask some questions.
Finance marketing? What are you referring to?
Investor relations for HF/PE/Asset Management?
Marketing department within a BB Bank? As in brand management for GS/Citi/JPM?
I can tell you right off the bat, most marketing/brand management is focused on retail oriented businesses. Which means most of the marketing jobs to be had in finance are marketing for firms with a significant consumer retail presence... as in BAC/Citi/JPM's retail banking, JPM/ML PWM, etc...
I came across a marketing position at Lazard. It was like creating presentations, working with bankers doing branding, etc. Sort of like brand management, but within banking. Is this kind of what you are talking about econ?
