McKinsey, BCG, Bain Public Sector Internship

Hello,

I am a rising junior in college. I have worked several internships in government agencies and for different elected officials, while I love the politics side, I have learned I really want to explore the consulting side.

I have no business, economics, math, or statistics background or experience, but I would love to intern for a top consulting firm, specializing in the public sector, how to make government bodies run more efficiently etc. For recruitment, would I be grouped with all the other interns applying to be general business analysts or would I have case interviews based on public sector cases and be exempt from knowing financial models?

I would love any input or information you have on recruitment for the Public Sector section of these firms.

Thanks so much!
