Middle Market Superday, Government & Defense

I have a superday coming up with a middle market investment bank for the government and defense team and I was wondering if anyone knew of industry specific metrics or measurables I should be aware of going into these interviews. Anything would help! Also, does anyone have an idea of what exit ops are like from this area of focus, specifically to a BB or Boutique? I know its way way too early to be thinking about that but was just curious. Thanks!

Accepted an offer with a MM bank in their Defense and Govt Group earlier this year - superday was pretty straightforward. They didn't ask any industry-specific questions, but they did ask why the industry interests me. Important things to know are that the industry is more resilient to recessions and can sometimes be countercyclical, meaning it outperforms in bear markets (not always true). This is because demand depends on government spending, which can also be a downside because government contracts are lengthy and often drawn out. Hope this helps!
